Buda and Old Buda - the least touristy tour in Hungary, no one else will take you there! Discover the hidden gems of Buda side: history from the Roman times, beautiful view from a different angle, a bit of hill training and fun as always - everything is included.

We start from Margaret Bridge and we have to climb some stairs to reach our first sight, the nearly 500 years old Tomb of Gül Baba and his rose garden. We move along to a square to see the statue of Peter Mansfeld, the youngest martyr of the uprising against the communist regime in 1956.

As we get higher on Buda hills we pass by several lookout points, we can stop to take photos in clear weather, in dense fog we take photos of each other:) The last lookout tower (it’s rather a balcony) is the highest point of the tour. After coming alive again we descend to Old Buda to see a military amphiteatre from the Roman times and the oldest Synagogue in Budapest. This is when we reach the runner’s paradise, Margaret Island.
